Unmanned aircraft or drones are changing the way of modern warfare. Its unique characteristics make it such a highly effective weapon in armed conflict. Their use covers more than just combat operations, but also reconnaissance, image capture, detection, logistical support... The wide range of uses makes it a very popular source of combat power in military operations. The master's thesis analyzes the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of selected Nato member states in their military operations. The analysis is based on real life examples of military operations from history and the present. It is supported by three indicators that complement and more clearly show the state of use of unmanned aerial vehicles in military operations and how this coincides with the size of the country's power and size.
