It was developed in collaboration with the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana, where it was used to conduct a research about qualify of life in patients with breast cancer. Throughout the research, feedback was gathered which showed the need for improvement and change to some of the functionalities the application offers.
In this thesis we examine the functionalities of the existing application and develop it for the second most popular mobile app platform - iOS. The application supports tracking of side effects during treatment, doctor appointments and therapies; graphical visualisation of data; presents helpful links; supports managing of personal data; provides the option choose diagnosed type of cancer; supports multiple user types; provides standardised questionnaires which the user can answer; supports reminders and the option for users to safely share their data with their doctor.
The application is experimentally already being used by the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana.
