Abstract

Title:Hydrogen energy storage
Abstract:
This thesis describes how hydrogen can be produced using solar energy. Photovoltaic modules produce direct current and can be easily connected to an electrolytic cell with a proton exchange membrane. In the electrolysis process itself, water is broken down into hydrogen and oxygen. Depending on how the photovoltaic module and the proton exchange membrane electrolytic cell are connected, different amounts of hydrogen are produced. The hydrogen is packaged and used for different purposes.
