Quality control of cartonboard packaging is crucial in the production of semi-finished and finished packaging to achieve quality according to customer and market standards. Process control, also known as self-control, allows problems and errors in the manufacturing process to be avoided and solved. The persons in charge of control (process and product controllers) carry out the final control. They assess whether the product meets the customer's requirements based on the instructions for the job. The product is then released for dispatch or rejected.
The aim and objective of the thesis is to study the operation of process and final control and to demonstrate its performance in a carton packaging company from ordering, printing, die-cutting and gluing to the dispatch of the packaging. It is important to be aware that proper packaging extends the shelf life of the product, protects it from external influences and allows transport.
The theoretical part gives the company's internal rules and instructions relating to process and final product control. All the necessary documentation is presented for the production of cartonboard packaging, following the standards and customer requirements.
The experimental part demonstrates the self-control of operators and the process of final control until the packaging is released to the customer, using practical examples.
The intended outcome of the work is a systematic presentation of the intermediate controls in the production of cartonboard packaging, with the monitoring of the products in production from printing, die-cutting, gluing and final inspection. The demonstration of the checkpoints and the action to be taken in the event of defects is illustrated by a practical example of packaging.
