Abstract

Title:Parametric analysis of the extruded thin wall polymer profile using design of experiment method
Abstract:
The purpose of the master's thesis was to determine the influence of process parameters on the extrusion of a thin walled profile. In this case, we did not change the material, but it was chosen in advance. For ease of analysis, we used the Design of Experiment method, which dictated the tests we carried out on the extrusion machine, according to various process parameters. After the tests were completed, we made test tubes from the profiles. From them we performed a tensile test and analyzed the results. After the analysis, we performed a confirmation test. We found that the tensile strength is significantly affected by the temperature of the melt and the revolutions of the screw of the machine, while the pulling speed has no significant effect on the tensile strength.
