Vehicle labelling is one of the most popular and effective types of advertising today. It is most commonly found on cars, vans and even buses. This, of course, raises many questions about how it is possible to apply decals (car stickers) on vehicles of different sizes without damaging them.
The diploma thesis aimed to investigate the entire process of preparing decals for vehicles and applying them to vehicles. Based on the processes studied, a manual was then designed and produced to provide clear instructions to readers and guide them through the process of vehicle labelling.
The diploma thesis was divided into two parts – theoretical and experimental part. In the theoretical part, the properties of the decal materials used for vehicle labelling were investigated. To get a good understanding of the application, the types of vehicle labelling and the most common errors that can occur were studied. To ensure safe work on-site, safety regulations related to labelling were also investigated. As the final product is a printed manual, the theoretical part dealt with the graphic preparation of the document and the printing techniques, considering all regulations applicable in this field. The experimental part describes the whole process of preparing and designing the manual including images of the actual processes. The aim of the diploma thesis was to design a labelling manual that describes the procedures and tips for labelling step by step and whose content is also enriched by numerous images.
