The master's thesis aims to collect already known data on archaeological sites in the municipality of Slovenj Gradec in one place, supplement them with new ones and present the settlement picture of the treated area over different time periods. The observed space represents the area of the municipality of Slovenj Gradec, as we learn about it in the chapter on physical-geographical characteristics. This is followed by a concise presentation of the history of topographic and more prominent archaeological research. Methods, course of, and results of own acquisition of new and verification of some already known information are presented next. The result is a catalog of sites, based on which maps of settlement and use of space in different archaeological periods were made. The purpose of the work was to create a document that will present the past of the area of the municipality of Slovenj Gradec through a picture of archaeological discoveries and offer a starting point for further research.
