Abstract
Navidezna resničnost (angl. Virtual Reality – VR) ali virtualna resničnost je računalniško ustvarjeno tridimenzionalno okolje. Diplomsko delo opisuje proces razvoja poučne prostorske slike slikanice in VR-slikanice, do katere lahko dostopamo preko brskalnika. Osrednji namen diplomske naloge je ustvariti in nadgraditi ilustracijo v navidezno resničnost in prostorsko sliko z dodanimi multimedijskimi elementi in izdelati interaktiven ter poučen izdelek. Aplikacija je primarno namenjena otrokom, pa tudi tistim uporabnikom, ki jih zanima predstavitev podatkov na drugačen način. S tem pristopom sem želela prikazati drugačen in zanimiv način podajanja podatkov otrokom, ki jih sicer v večini najdemo samo v 2D-obliki, in ustvariti poučno aplikacijo, ki bo z drugačim pristopom razložila in prikazala razvoj žabe, katere gobe najdemo v Sloveniji in katere travniške cvetlice najdemo na travnikih. V prvem delu diplomske naloge je opisana teoretična plat prostorske slike, projekcij, VR-tehnologije v povezavi z otroci, virtualne resničnosti in njene zgodovine. Sledita predstavitev in opis uporabljene tehnologije. V drugem delu so predstavljeni proces razvoja aplikacije, testiranje na uporabnikih, sklepne ugotovitve in možnosti za nadaljnji razvoj.

Title:Development and evaluation of an interactive children's picture book in virtual reality
Abstract:
Virtual reality (VR) is a computer-generated three-dimensional environment. The thesis describes the process of developing an educational 360 panorama of a picture book and a VR picture book, which can be accessed via a browser. The central purpose of the thesis is to create and upgrade an illustration into virtual reality and 360 panoramas, with added multimedia elements, and to create an interactive and educational product. The application is primarily intended for children, but also for those users who are interested in presenting information in a different way. With this approach, I wanted to create a different and interesting way of providing information to children, which is mostly found only in 2D form, and to create an educational application that will explain the development of frogs, mushrooms in Slovenia, and meadow flowers with a different approach. In the first part, the thesis describes the theoretical side of the panorama, projections, VR technology in connection with children, virtual reality, and its history. The following is a presentation and description of the technology used. The second part presents the application development process, user testing, conclusions, and possibilities for further development.
