Abstract
Za reševanje vprašanja starosti zgornje meje Zatrniške formacije je bil posnet profil na planini Zajamniki na Pokljuki v dolžini 74,4 metrov. Narejen je bil sedimentološki profil, ki je bil makroskopsko opisan. Opravljena je bila sedimentološka in mikropaleontološka analiza izdelanih zbruskov, kateri so bili razvrščeni v določene mikrofaciesne skupine. Vzorci na konodonte so bili negativni. Določenih je bilo dvanajst mikrofaciesnih skupin. Zatrniška formacija obsega sedem mikrofaciesov: peloidni packstone, intraklastični packstone, intraklastični peloidni grainstone, intraklastični ooidni peletni grainstone, intraklastični ooidni bioklastični grainstone, peletni filamentni packstone in peletni bioklastični packstone. Ribniška breča obsega pet mikrofaciesov: litoklastični bioklastični packstone do grainstone (lokalno wackestone), litoklastični rudstone, litoklastični bioklastični wackestone, bioklastični wackestone do packstone in filamentni rudstone. V zbruskih so bile opisane naslednje foraminifere: Earlandia sp., ?Epistominidae, Lagenida indet, Lenticulina sp., Meandrovaluta asiagoensis, Miliolida, nodosaridne lagenide, Siphovalvulina sp., Spirillina sp., Textulariida in Valvulinidae. V manjšem številu so prisotne še mikroproblematike Thaumatoporella, Baccinela irregularia in Tubiphytes. Zatrniška formacija na območju Pokljuke je nastala na globokem šelfu, ki so ga dosegali turbiditi in debriti in/ali ob vznožju pobočja globljevodnega bazena, kar je bilo določeno na podlagi mikrofaciesov, prisotnosti sinsedimentnih plazov in vrste klastov. Gre za hemipelagično sedimentacijo, ki je bila prekinjena s turbiditnimi tokovi. Določitev starosti zgornje meje apnencev Zatrniške formacije je temeljila na prisotnosti dveh foraminifer: Meandrovaluta asiagoensis in Siphovalvulina sp., s katerima je bila meja postavljena v spodnjo juro.

Title:The upper boundary of the Zatrnik Formation at the Zajamniki mountain pasture, Pokljuka, Slovenia : diploma work
Abstract:
For resolving question about the age of its upper boundary, the Zatrnik formation was recorded at the Zajamniki mountain pasture in Pokljuka in the total length of 74.4 m.. Sedimentological and micropaleontological analysis was performed on thin sections. Conodont samples were all negative. Twelve microfacies were recognized. Zatrnik formation comprise seven microfacies: peloidal packstone, intraclastic packstone, intraclastic peloidal grainstone, intraclastic ooid pelletal packstone, intraclastic ooid bioclastic grainstone, pelletal filament packstone and pelletal bioclastic packstone. Ribnica breccia comprise five microfacies: litoclastic bioclastic packstone to grainstone (locally wackestone), litoclastic rudstone, litoclastic bioclastic wackestone, bioclastic wackestone to packstone and filament rudstone. Foraminifera comprise Earlandia sp., ?Epistominidae, Lagenida indet, Lenticulina sp., Meandrovoluta asiagoensis, Miliolida, Nodosariidae, Siphovalvulina sp., Spirillina sp., Textulariida and Valvulinidae. Less common are microproblematica Thaumatoporella, Baccinela irregularia and Tubiphytes. The Zatrnik formation was deposited on a deep shelf, which was under the influence of turbidites and debris flows and/or the slope or toe-of-slope of the sea basin. It's a hemipelagic sedimentation interrupted with turbidity currents. The Early Jurassic age for the upper boundary of the Zatrnik formation was based on the presence of foraminifers Meandrovoluta asiagoensis and Siphovalvulina sp.
