The purpose of this thesis is to re-evaluate the remains of the Claustra Alpium Iuliarum (CAI) system in the area of the Notranjska topographic region. The work is based on aerial laser scanning data (lidar images). I analyzed ten fortifications of the late Roman Claustra Alpium Iuliraum system. The fortifications were examined using digital relief models created from aerial laser scanning data. Recognized features were marked on the map. I then tried to correlate my data with already known topographical data. Most of the fortifications are well documented, so there were no major differences between my findings and previous research. But despite numerous investigations on the Ajdovski Zid barrier, there were deviations in the case of this fortification.
