Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava seksualno delo v Sloveniji in z njim povezano vprašanje zdravja.

Title:Sex work in Slovenia: Health care
Abstract:
The thesis deals with sex work in Slovenia and related health care. The introductory part discusses the methodology of sex work research and then describes the different forms of sex work and why it is important to distinguish between them. The work then focuses on presenting the different forms of sex work in Slovenia. This is followed by a chapter linking sex work to health. This section first introduces the concepts of inequality, vulnerability and stigma in relation to sex work and sex workers, and then looks at the different socio-individual factors that can influence sex work. The second part of the thesis presents a field study involving 40 interviewees involved in sex work in Slovenia. The interviewees' testimonies show that they mainly attribute the importance of health to their contact with clients and their relationship to their own bodies. The fieldwork revealed that interviewees think about their health primarily in relation to their ability to perform sex work. In addition, sex workers are aware that they are still a stigmatised population of individuals in society, and they do not express trust in health institutions.
