Natural disasters will pose an ever-increasing challenge to humanity in the future. With the increase in the population and the development of tourism in the municipality of Bovec, new endangered areas are also appearing, characterized by natural phenomena such as landslides, avalanches, floods and earthquakes. The danger of certain phenomena can already be recognized based on the characteristics of the landscape, and it can be shown most effectively with hazard maps, which are the basis of this paper. The displayed data is based on existing, publicly available data from the Internet. On the basis of danger maps and taking into account the human presence in Municipality of Bovec, I present the most dangerous and endangered areas and how the inhabitants take them into account or adapt to them.
