Vpliv epidemije na bralne navade

Pandemija koronavirusne bolezni covid-19 je povzročila popoln preobrat vsakdanjega življenja slehernega človeka na Zemlji, zato nas je zanimalo, kakšen učinek je pandemija poleg ostalih življenjskih dejavnosti imela na bralne navade Slovencev. S pomočjo spletnega anketnega vprašalnika in polstrukturiranih intervjujev smo od junija do oktobra 2021 zbirali podatke in pričevanja ljudi o njihovih bralnih navadah med prvim in drugim valom epidemije koronavirusne bolezni covid-19 v Sloveniji. Iz vzorca dvestotih ljudi smo zaključili, da so udeleženi, ki so bili večinoma študentje in ženske srednjih let, med epidemijo brali več, da so več brale ženske in da so bolj posegali po leposlovju. V nasprotju z visokimi statističnimi podatki portala za e-knjige Biblos so udeleženi v raziskavi le redko posegali po elektronskih knjigah, medtem ko so knjižnice kljub različnim omejitvam uporabljali, kolikor se je le dalo.

• Title: Epidemic Influences on Reading Habits

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic drastically changed everyday life of all people on Earth. For this reason, we wanted to determine the impact the pandemic had on reading habits of Slovenians, among other everyday activities. By conducting a survey and semi-structured interviews from July to October 2021, we collected data and views of people about their reading habits during the first and second waves of the coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia. Based on a sample of 200 people, we concluded that the respondents, mainly students and middle-aged women, read more during the epidemic than before, that women read more often than men and that they mostly read fiction. In contrast to high statistical data presented on the Biblos e-book portal, the respondents only rarely read e-books, and they visited libraries as often as possible, despite several restrictions.
