Komentiran prevod drugega poglavja dela La violenza nazista avtorja Enza Traversa

Pričujoče magistrsko delo se ukvarja s prevodom drugega poglavja knjige La violenza nazista avtorja Enza Traversa. V prvem delu naloge je zajeta krajša predstavitev avtorja in knjige. Za obnovitev znanja in lažje razumevanje prevedenega besedila je v nalogo vključen tudi kratek pregled zgodovine 19. stoletja s poudarkom na kolonializmu in imperializmu. Naslednje poglavje vsebuje prevod besedila, v nadaljevanju pa sledi komentar oziroma analiza vseh prevajalskih ovir, na katere smo naleteli, in postopki, po katerih smo prišli do ustreznih prevodnih rešitev. Poudarek je predvsem na besednem redu in skladenjskih konstrukcijah oziroma sintaktičnih zakonitostih ciljnega jezika ter leksikalni ravni oziroma besedišču. Zaradi večje preglednosti je izvirnik in slovenski prevod s komentarji predstavljen po odstavkih. V zaključku so navedeni sklepi analize in temeljne ugotovitve naloge. Na koncu pa je celotno magistrsko delo povzeto v italijanskem jeziku.

• Title: An annotated translation of the second chapter of the book La violenza nazista by Enzo Traverso

Abstract

The present master's thesis deals with the translation of the second chapter of the book La violenza nazista by Enzo Traverso. The first part of the assignment contains a short presentation of the author and the book. In order to give some basic nations about its contents and make it easier to understand the translated text, the thesis also includes a brief overview of the history of the 19th century with an emphasis on colonialism and imperialism. The following chapter includes a translation of the text, followed by a commentary of all the translation problems we encountered and the process of working on the Slovene version. The emphasis is mainly on the word order, syntax and lexis. To facilitate the comparison between the two texts, the Italian original and the Slovene translation with comments are presented paragraph after paragraph. In the conclusion, the main findings of the thesis are given and an Italian summary is provided.
