In the master's thesis the flow of a technical speech education on the national RTV Slovenia will be examined and compared to the education of radio speakers on the commercial Hitradio Center station. The process of educating a radio personality is very long and takes a lot of time and demands an appropriate voice as well as mastery of different knowledge. For that purpose the national RTV Slovenia has already established education throughout the cooperation with the RTV Slovenia Speech Culture. We were interested in the extent of attention which is paid to linguistic education on the commercial Hitradio Center station. This was verified by the interview with a chosen broadcaster and examination the interview in detail with an executive editor afterwards. We decided to analyze the speech of the chosen broadcaster from a textual phonetics point of view. Two types of speeches were analyzed: the one which was read and the other which was spontaneous. The attention was paid to speed of speech, pauses, sentence intonation and emphasis. We also checked to what extent of suitable education according to these elements, the chosen braodcaster received.
