Abstract

Title:Kierkegaard's metaphysics of lonlesness
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on Kierkegaard's notion of choice and the ethical life based on that choice. The thesis will show the path of becoming aloneness, which is Kierkegaard's definition of the individual - the single individual. The single individual becomes a human being who passes through an ethical choice in which he/she unconditionally chooses his/her personality, and through this choice acquires a responsibility within himself/herself that is the basis for a genuine ethical life. The individual's goal in life is therefore an ethically formed personality whose goal lies in himself/herself, and only such a personality can then take responsibility for ethical living and ethical action in the community. Kierkegaard's ethics can also be called the ethics of aloneness, since ethically living individuals constitute a community that operates according to these principles. A person who goes through ethical choice becomes aloneness, and the aloneness is the structure to which Kierkegaard pays most attention. We will show the path of becoming oneself, which, despite all Kierkegaard's instructions, must be discovered by ourselves and by no one else, because only we can discover our own truth.
