Fotografija in elementi grotesknega

V svojem diplomskem delu sem obravnavala medij fotografije in področja, kjer se pojavljajo elementi grotesknega. V teoretičnemu delu sem definirala pojem groteske in njegov nastanek, nadalje sem naredila krajši zgodovinski oris prisotnosti grotesknih elementov v povezavi z začetki razvoja medija, na koncu pa sem razčlenila prisotnost grotesknega v različnih žanrih fotografije. Analizirala sem referenčne avtorje in preučevala njihove skupne komponente tako vsebinske kot tehnične zakonitosti. V praktičnemu delu diplome sem se ukvarjala s klasičnimi fotografskimi tehnikami, pri katerih sem poleg samega motiva osredotočala na manipulacijo medija, s katerim sem skozi izbran medij ustvarila občutek grotesknega.

• Title: Photography and elements of the grotesque

Abstract

In my BA thesis, I discuss the medium of photography and the areas in which elements of the grotesque appear. In the theoretical part I defined the concept of grotesque and its origin. I made a brief historical outline of the presence of grotesque elements in connection with the beginnings of media development, and finally analyzed the presence of grotesque in different genres of photography. I analyzed the reference authors and studied the components they have in common, both in terms of content and technical legitimacy of the medium. In the practical part of the thesis, I dealt with classical photographic techniques in which, in addition to the motif itself, I focused on the manipulation of the medium with which I created a sense of the grotesque through the chosen medium.
