Abstract
Prisilne poroke mladoletnih romskih deklic so v Sloveniji in drugod še vedno prisotne.

Title:The attitude of social work centres to the marriage of young Roma girls
Abstract:
Forced marriages of underage Roma girls are present in Slovenia and elsewhere. Reporting practices differ depending on which Roma community the girls belong to and where they come from. However, it is common for all of them that the girl becomes a housewife after marriage and soon after that a mother. The origin of such marriages can be found in a regulated community. Marriages leave consequences for girls as it is a form of human trafficking. Girls are exposed to violence by their partner and his family, and the ceremony itself is traditionally accompanied by harmful practices that violate human and children rights. It is difficult to talk about the prevalence or frequency of the phenomenon due to the lack of statistical data. Social work centres also face this issue. The purpose of the thesis was to find out what kind of attitude social work centres have towards the marriages of underage Roma girls. Social work centres do deal with this problem, but I believe that there is still a lot of room for improvement, more concrete action and an in-depth approach to the problem.
