The aim of my work is to summarize the general historical and cultural development of
portraiture, in more detail I deal with the Western tradition. I outline the influence of modern
media on our perception of portraiture. I mainly describe personal experiences and solutions in
the traditional way of depiction, as well as personal starting points and reinterpretations in an
individual approach to portraiture. I summarize the most significant principles for my future
work and development.
