Cilj mojega dela je povzeti splošni zgodovinski in kulturni razvoj portretiranja, podrobneje se lotim zahodne tradicije. Okvirno nakažem vpliv sodobnih medijev na naše dojemanje portreta. Pri postopkih izdelave portretov se osredotočim na osebne izkušnje in rešitve pri tradicionalnem načinu upodabljanja ter osebna izhodišča in reinterpretacije pri individualnem pristopu k portretu. Povzamem za moje nadaljnje delo in razvoj najpomembnejša spoznanja.

Abstract

The aim of my work is to summarize the general historical and cultural development of portraiture, in more detail I deal with the Western tradition. I outline the influence of modern media on our perception of portraiture. I mainly describe personal experiences and solutions in the traditional way of depiction, as well as personal starting points and reinterpretations in an individual approach to portraiture. I summarize the most significant principles for my future work and development.
