The bachelor thesis deals with the promotion of the local authors of the Upper Soča Valley on the portal Dobreknjige.si. The purpose is to raise awareness of the importance of promoting local authors on a national level, as it brings benefits for librarians, users, the library and the country. The local history collection is defined. It is a collection whose works are connected to the local area in one of three different ways: through the author, production or theme. The importance of promoting this collection was based on the help to the country through the development of tourism, economic sectors, the recognition of smaller authors and the building of the national cultural heritage. Work focuses on the local history collection of the library of Cirila Kosmača Tolmin. A statistical review of the collection shows 23% fiction, 76% non-fiction and 1% other material. The Dobreknjige.si portal is proposed as one of the ways to promote the local history collection. Its beginnings, development and organizational structure are presented. The purpose of the portal, the process of entering new works and the possible problems are defined. When adding to the portal, the content analysis of the work is important. An overview of the possible elements included in writing the annotation of prose work and poetry was compiled. Finally, the process of creating posts on the portal is presented based on the Ciril Kosmača Tolmin Library. The population of 81 works of fiction was determined based on the portal's formal criteria and the author's informal criteria. The sample consisted of 10 titles and 11 authors, which were selected based on personal judgment and entered in the portal.
