Abstract
V zaključni nalogi smo raziskovali povezavo med laserskim graviranjem površine aluminijeve zlitine in karbonskega kompozita ter natezno trdnostjo lepljenih spojev. Tekom dela smo določili parametre laserskega graviranja, določili vzorce tekstur, izvedli meritve kotov omočenja za različne teksture, izdelali lepljence in jih zlepili. Lepljene spoje smo nato natezno testirali do porušitve in obdelali podatke. Površine smo po nateznem preizkusu analizirali in določili tip porušitve. Parametri graviranja vplivajo na globino in konsistentnost gravur. Potrdili smo, da graviranje površin vpliva na njihovo omočljivost. Tudi čas po graviranju, zaradi nastanka oksidnega sloja in kontaminacije, vpliva na omočljivost površin. Ugotovili smo, da graviranje površine lahko pretirano poškoduje površino karbonskega kompozita in s tem poveča verjetnost delaminacije površine lepljenca ob obremenitvi, delaminacija lepljenca pa povzroči nižjo trdnost lepljenega spoja.

Title:Effect of surface engraving of a composite and aluminium alloy on the tensile strength of adhesive bonded joint
Abstract:
The thesis presents the relationship between laser engraving of aluminium alloy and carbon composite surfaces and the tensile strength of adhesive bonded joints. In the course of the work, the laser engraving parameters were determined, texture patterns were defined, wetting angles for the different textures were measured, adhesives were produced and bonded. The bonded joints were then tensile tested to failure and the data was processed. After tensile testing, the surfaces were analysed to determine the type of failure. Engraving parameters affect the depth and consistency of engravings. It was confirmed that engraving of the surfaces affects their wettability. The time after engraving, due to the formation of an oxide layer and contamination, also affects the wettability of the surfaces. We have found that surface engraving can excessively damage the surface of the base material, increasing the likelihood of delamination of the adhesive surface under load. Delamination of the adherend results in lower strength of the bonded joint.
