Abstract
Naloga opredeljuje ključne lastnosti vodika in zemeljskega plina ob povečani koncentraciji vodika. Poznavanje le teh je pomembno zaradi širjenja uporabe vodika kot nosilca energije, ki bo predvideno zmanjšal ogljikove emisije ter pomagal pri izpolnjevanju različnih podnebnih ciljev. Lastnosti so določene tako z uporabo splošnih plinskih enačb, kot tudi z uporabo nekaterih standardov. Prikazane so v razširjenem temperaturnem in tlačnem področju, katerega razpon je povezan s pogoji, ki jih najdemo v obstoječih plinskih omrežjih. Rezultati prikazujejo lastnosti čistega vodika v določenem območju tlakov in temperatur ter vplive na lastnosti zemeljskega plina, ki mu je dodan vodik v različnih koncentracijah. Iz rezultatov so razvidni vplivi nizke gostote vodika na lastnosti zmesi z zemeljskim plinom. Z gostoto vodika je povezana njegova nizka kurilna vrednost na enoto volumna, ki prav tako vpliva na kurilno vrednost zmesi ter njen Wobbe indeks. Predstavljen je tudi vpliv za vodik značilnega negativnega Joule-Thomsonovega koeficienta, zaradi katerega se zmanjšuje tudi Joule-Thomsonov koeficient zmesi vodika in zemeljskega plina.

Title:Thermodynamic properties of hydrogen and natural gas mixture
Abstract:
This thesis addresses the key properties of hydrogen and natural gas with increased hydrogen concentration. Knowing them is important due to the continuous spreading of hydrogen as an energy carrier, which is expected to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to fulfilling various environmental goals. Properties are determined with the use of gas laws as well as some standards. They are shown in a wide temperature and pressure range, which is determined by considering conditions in the existing gas network. Results display hydrogen properties in explicit range and its effects on natural gas characteristics when added to in different concentrations. These results show the impact of hydrogen's low density on the properties of the gas mixture. Hydrogen's low caloric value per volume basis along with low Wobbe index are linked to its low density and also affect these characteristics of the mixture. The influence of hydrogen's distinctive negative Joule-Thomson coefficient which reduces the Joule-Thompson coefficient of natural gas and hydrogen mixture is also displayed in this thesis.
