In this work I present the concept of immunodeficiency. The concept includes a wide specter of illnesses, however here the focus is on primary immunodeficiency. Since this type of immunodeficiency still includes many different illnesses, there exist nine subcatagories in which we further devide the condition. Predominantly antibody deficiencies T-cell immunodeficiencies or combined immunodeficiencies Syndromic immunodeficiencies Complement defects Phagocytic defects Defects of innate immunity Diseases of immune dysregulation Autoinflammatory disorders Phenocopies of Primary immunodeficiency. The immunodeficiency plays a huge roll in everyday life of the patient, therefor we ought to discover them as early as possible. For this purpose, today, we have many tests at our disposal. With them we can discover specific immunodeficiency, which helps us chose the best treatment for the patient.
