Spletni vmesnik za iskanje po arhivu avdio in video vsebin

Danes imamo po svetu veliko arhivov s podatki, ki jih želimo predstaviti na nek uporaben način. Včasih se pojavi želja po možnosti iskanja po teh podatkih, zato se poslužujemo izdelave informacijskih rešitev, ki nam to omogočajo. V okviru te diplomske naloge je bilo potrebno izdelati takšno rešitev, in sicer za iskanje po arhivu TV oddaj. Za shranjevanje in iskanje po podatkih smo uporabili tehnologijo Elasticsearch, saj je zelo primerna za reševanje tovrstnih problemov. Prvi cilj naloge je bila implementacija skript, ki so znale podatke iz arhiva ustrezno strukturirati in zapisati v podatkovno bazo Elasticsearch. Drugi cilj pa je bil razvoj spletne aplikacije, ki je uporabniku ponujala iskalnik po oddajah. Kljub nekaj oviram, ki so se pojavile pri delu, smo na koncu izdelali rešitev, ki je dosegala vse zastavljene cilje. Rezultat naloge je tako spletna aplikacija, ki omogoča iskanje po metapodatkih oddaj in po podnapisih ter govoru v njih. Zadetki iskanja se prikazujejo na zaslonu, tako da lahko uporabnik vidi različne podatke o oddajah, poleg tega pa je na voljo tudi možnost ogleda video posnetkov posameznih oddaj.

• Title: A web interface for searching an audiovisual archive

Abstract

Today, we have many archives around the world with data that we want to present in a useful way. Sometimes we want to be able to search this data, so we build IT solutions that allow us to do this. In the context of this thesis, it was necessary to develop such a solution for searching the TV archive. We used Elasticsearch to store and search the data, as it is well suited for this type of problems. The first goal of the task was to implement scripts that were able to properly structure the data from the archive and write it to the Elasticsearch database. The second objective was to develop a web application that offered the user a search engine for shows. Despite a few obstacles, we ended up with a solution that met all our objectives. The result is a web application that searches the metadata of the shows and the subtitles and speech in them. Search hits are displayed on the screen so that the user can see various information about the broadcasts, and there is also the option to watch video clips of individual broadcasts.
