This undergraduate thesis deals with literary minimalism in Nejc Gavoda's short stories from collections Vevericam nič ne uide and Fasunga. In the theoretical part, it presents the issue of differentiating between different types of short prose and specifies which types Gazvoda’s stories belong to. Minimalism in short prose, literary minimalism, its history in the US and in Slovenia are presented. Based on Andreja Perić Jezernik’s monograph, characteristics of minimalism and types of minimalization are introduced. In the analytical part, six Gazvoda’s short stories are analysed in view of the presented characteristics.
