Abstract

Title:Implementation of additional professional assistance to children with special needs during distance education
Abstract:
Working with children with special needs already brings many challenges under normal circumstances but the global covid-19 epidemic and the associated closure of educational institutions have pushed the entire school system into a situation that no one was prepared for. The transition from traditional classroom teaching to distance education was a great challenge for all participants in the educational process. The results of domestic and foreign research show that the closure of schools has mostly affected the most vulnerable group of the school population - children with special needs and children from socially deprived families. The master's thesis seeks to investigate some implementation aspects of additional professional assistance at a distance, the impact of school closures on the learning and mental development of children with special needs and the experience of distance work from the perspective of teachers of additional professional assistance who played a key role in addressing the challenges of children with special needs during distance education.
