Nowadays, the production of electrical and electronic equipment, which has become an indispensable part of the modern way of life, is growing very rapidly. That is why waste electrical and electronic equipment or WEEE is one of the fastest growing groups of waste in the world.
In order to protect the environment, two directives came into force, the Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment, shorter Directive 2012/19/EU, and the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, shorter the RoHS Directive, which are more similarly described in the work.
As part of the thesis, a detailed description of the procedures and technical dismantling and recycling in the field of waste electrical and electronic equipment was carried out.
The experimental part consisted of the analysis of dust and particles of motherboards of waste electrical and electronic equipment using an scanning electron microscope Thermo Scientific Quattro S and a SWOT analysis.
