Abstract
V drugem delu teoretičnega dela pišem o pandemiji Covida-19 in njenih značilnostih. Pišem o različnih stiskah ljudi z ovirami v domači oskrbi med tem časom, o sprejetih ukrepih, duševnem, telesnem zdravju, izgubi mobilnosti, dostopanju do zdravstvenih in drugih storitev.

Title:The Covid-19 pandemic and people with disabilities: the aspect of people in home care : diplomsko delo
Abstract:
In my graduation thesis, I research and focus on the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. When I talk about the Covid-19 pandemic, I think of the time of complete lockdown that we experienced in 2020 and 2021. In my work, I wonder how the pandemic was experienced by people with disabilities in home care. In the theoretical part I write about who people with disabilities are and what disabilities we know, I also write about what social disabilities are, I present the social view or social model of disabilities, I talk about the concept of independent living and why it is important. In the second part of the theoretical part, I write about the Covid-19 pandemic and its characteristics. I write about the various hardships people with disabilities in home care had during this time, about the measures taken, mental, physical health, loss of mobility, access to health and other services. In my work, I talk about different types of disabilities, such as visual, hearing, mobility impairments, and intellectual disabilities, and explore how the pandemic affected these particular groups. Finally, I am writing about solidarity and social work and the challenges that have arisen in the field of social work during this time. In the research work I conduct seven interviews, and through conversations I try to find out how the interviewees experienced the pandemic, what hardships and challenges arose during this time of lockdowns, how they solved them and where they got the necessary support and help they needed. In my research work, I collected data using the questioning method. I conducted the interviews mostly through the Zoom app, in one case I did a live interview. I analyzed the data qualitatively and presented and theoretically connected them in the discussion. My findings are that people with disabilities during the pandemic were treated unequally and were discriminated, especially in determining pandemic measures. I also note that most people with disabilities did not have access to health care and that there were difficulties in accessing basic services such as shops. Numerous mental distresses have also arisen, which have been reflected in an increase in negative feelings such as fear, depression, anger, etc. I believe that the Covid-19 pandemic was a challenge for all people, and especially a challenge for those who are already without a strong social network, and are already much more vulnerable and exposed to unequal treatment and discrimination than others. I note that people with disabilities were overlooked in many areas during the pandemic. I also note that many people have suffered mental damage as a result of isolation and other measures.
