It's a problem in the Internet nowadays knowing that there is so much information out there, controlled only by one entity (e.g. person, organization, ...), which we don't know at all. Decentralized digital identity is a framework of trust, in which the entities such as: people, organizations, have control over their own data and can choose what and with whom they will share. Data exchange occurs using a blockchain that allows protected and safe transactions. With the help of this new technology and the Cardano blockchain, we have developed an open source solution, which will help the students in their educational process. This solution helped us present the functionalities that the decentralized digital identities offer. With the usage of SWOT analysis we compared the system with existing solutions, which proved, that our solution is actually more secured, powerful, cheaper and useful.
