Diploma thesis, titled Microscopic World of Viruses as a Collection of Patterns for Kitchen Textiles, is a designer’s response to the global epidemic the entire world had to face. The theoretical part presents the history of textile printing technology methods and the development of digital printing on textile. It also describes pattern design for digital printing, as well as types of motives and sequences. A few examples of the modern use of patterns used on objects and kitchen textiles that had an impact on the empirical part of this paper are also portrayed. The empirical part presents the idea and design of collections of patterns and the development of kitchen textiles. The result of this diploma’s thesis is three collections of textile patterns of which the motives and patterns are presented on kitchen textiles.
