Abstract
V magistrskem delu obravnavamo elastokaloričen pojav pri polimerih. Postavljen je matematični model, pri katerem smo uporabili fenomeloški princip opisa fazne transformacije, ki je bil prvotno zasnovan za zlitine. Opravili smo meritve elastokaloričnega učinka s termo kamero in primerjali rezultate meritev z rezultati matematičnega modela. Pri tem smo primerjali ravni vlakni iz poliamida PA6 in polietilena HDPE, določili njihovo hladilno učinkovitost in izluščili bistvene vplivne dejavnike. Določili smo tudi hladilno učinkovitost vijačno zvitega vlakna HDPE in ugotovili višjo hladilno učinkovitost v primerjavi z ravnim vlaknom.

Title:Modeling of elastocaloric effect in straight and twisted and coiled polymer fiber
Abstract:
The master thesis deals with the elastocaloric phenomenon in polymers. A mathematical model was set up, based on the phenomenological principle of phase transformation description, originally intended for alloys. We measured the elastocaloric effect with a thermal camera and compared the results with those from the mathematical model. We compared straight fibres made of polyamide PA6 and polyethylene HDPE, determined their cooling efficiency, and extracted essential influencing factors. We also determined the cooling efficiency of helically twisted HDPE fibres and found a higher cooling efficiency compared to straight fibres.
