Movies have been considered the most popular form of entertainment for
decades, but recently the enthusiasm for short films has also been growing.
These are shorter screenings, usually suitable for novice directors and stu-
dents who do not have a platform to display and broadcast their works. We
decided to develop an online portal that would enable both aspiring directors
and established authors to present themselves and their works, which could
also serve as a digital archive of all films. As part of the thesis, we developed
an online application where authors involved in the film making process can
register and edit their profiles and upload their works. We have enabled an
overview of all the authors and uploaded movies, as well as filtering with
selected parameters. We have also added various options for interaction be-
tween users through comments and creating discussions. In the thesis, we
will present the tools and technologies necessary for development, as well as
the planning and final solution of the application. In the end, we looked at
the entire solution and considered future improvements.
