One of the most important reactions in click chemistry is 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition, which belongs to the pericyclic reactions. Cycloaddition is used to synthesise heterocyclic systems with an odd number of atoms in the ring. In the introduction of my work, I will focus on the properties and synthesis of azomethine imines and pyrazolidin-3-ones, which can serve as starting compounds for the preparation of a variety of heterocycles, paying more attention to pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyrazoles.
The experimental part of the work includes the synthesis of azomethine imines from pyrazolidin-3-ones and 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine imines to terminal alkynes for the synthesis of pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyrazoles and their photochemical transformations.
