Abstract
Z delom z mladostniki sem se seznanila skozi vsakoletno opravljanje obvezne prakse v okviru študija na Fakulteti za socialno delo. Delo z mladimi mi je zmeraj predstavljajo neke vrste izziv, hkrati pa mi je sodelovanje z mladimi prinašalo zadovoljstvo ter pridobivanje novih izkušenj in znanj. Zmeraj me je zanimalo, kakšno stališče zavzemajo mladi ter kako oni sami gledajo na določeno stvar, ustanovo ter odnose, v katerih se znajdejo vsak dan. V svoji diplomski nalogi sprva na kratko opišem vzgojno-izobraževalne zavode, značilnosti mladostnikov, ki so nastanjeni v vzgojno-izobraževalni zavod, kako poteka sama oddaja mladostnikov v zavod ter kaj to s seboj prinaša. Tukaj me predvsem zanimajo občutki, ki preplavijo mladostnike ob sprejemu v vzgojno-izobraževalni zavod ter kako se oni sami s tem spoprijemajo. Pregledam stresne situacije, v katerih se mladostniki znajdejo ter vse strategije spoprijemanja s stresnimi situacijami. Prav tako me zanimajo odnosi med mladostniki in zaposlenimi strokovnimi delavci, kaj jim ti nudijo, kakšna je podpora strokovnih delavcev ter metode dela, ki jih pri svojem delu uporabljajo. Ker je zelo pomemben vidik na življenja mladostnikov tudi proces šolanja, se oprem tudi na to ter raziščem, kako poteka proces izobraževanja pri mladostnikih, ki so nastanjeni v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu. Pri tem me zanima delež podpore, ki so je mladi deležni v zavodu ter izven njega, s čim se soočajo, kaj jim predstavlja ovire pri samem procesu ter kaj bi si želeli spremeniti.

Title:Correctional institution through the eyes of adolescents
Abstract:
I was introduced to working with adolescents through my yearly compulsory internship at the Faculty of Social Work. Working with young people has always been a challenge for me, but at the same time I have found it rewarding to work with them and to gain new experiences and skills. I have always been interested in the position of young people and how they themselves view a particular thing, institution and the relationships they are in in their everyday lives. In my thesis, I will first briefly describe correctional institutions, the characteristics of adolescents who are placed in correctional institutions, how the placement of adolescents in institutions is carried out and what it entails. I am particularly interested in the feelings that overwhelm young people when they are admitted to an correctional establishment and how they themselves cope with this. I look at the stressful situations in which adolescents find themselves and all the strategies for coping with stressful situations. I am also interested in the relationship between the adolescents and the practitioners, what they offer them, what support the practitioners give them and the methods they use in their work. Since a very important aspect of adolescents' lives is the process of education, I also focus on this and investigate how the process of education is carried out for adolescents who are placed in an correctional institution. I am interested in the proportion of support that young people receive both in and out of the correctional institution, what they face, what obstacles they face in the process and what they would like to see changed.
