Abstract
Onesnaževanje okolja in ozračja je težava, s katero se ves čas srečujemo v našem vsakdanu, pri tem pa sta promet in industrija glavni težavi. Za uravnavanje in omejevanje onesnaževanja ozračja je v ospredju predvsem spremljanje izpustov emisij CO2. Z regulacijo ogljičnega odtisa se ukvarjajo tudi organizacije za vodenje stalne plovnosti in operaterji letalnikov. Podjetja so namreč dolžna izdelati poročila o količini proizvedenega CO2 na letni ravni. Regulativa omogoča podjetjem izdelavo poročila na več možnih načinov in uporabo različnih orodij za teoretični izračun emisij CO2 in tudi možnost izračuna porabe emisij CO2 na podlagi dejanske porabe goriva. Težava nastopi pri izbiri najustreznejšega modela za posamezno podjetje in s tem izogib dodatnim stroškom. V nalogi je predstavljen način izračuna emisij CO2 na podlagi porabe goriva za letalnik Embraer ERJ 145 ter primerjava teoretičnih in praktičnih modelov za izračun proizvedenih emisij CO2. Na podlagi analize rezultatov smo izvedli še primerjavo ekonomičnosti turboventilatorskega letalnika in turbopropelerskega letalnika glede na porabo goriva in proizvodnjo emisij CO2.

Title:Carbon footprint analysis of Embraer aircraft and suggestions for improvements
Abstract:
Pollution of the environment and the atmosphere is a problem that we constantly face in our everyday, with transport and industry being two of the main problems. In order to regulate and limit air pollution the focus is on monitoring CO2 emissions. Continuing airworthiness organizations and aircraft operators are also engaged in carbon footprint regulations. Namely, companies are obliged to prepare reports on the amount of CO2 produced on the annual basis. The regulation allows companies to produce a report in several possible ways and use different tools for the theoretical calculation of CO2 emissions and also the possibility of calculation CO2 emissions based on actual fuel consumption. The problem arises in choosing the most appropriate model for an individual company and thus avoiding additional costs. The paper presents a method of calculating CO2 emissions based on fuel consumption for the Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft and comparison of theoretical and practical models for calculating CO2 emissions. Based on the analysis of the results we also compared the turbofan aircraft and turboprop aircraft based in their fuel economy and CO2 production.
