Prepoznavanje vzorcev mobilnosti obiskovalcev v Sloveniji na podlagi podatkov platforme Flickr

Prostorske analize geografskih položajev fotografij, ki so jih posneli turistični obiskovalci, omogočajo spremljanje, predstavitev ter načrtovanje turistične dejavnosti v prostoru. Večina spletnih strani za izmenjavo fotografij ponuja možnost njihovega geografskega označevanja, kar omogoča pridobivanje geografskih informacij. V prispevku smo na podlagi geokoordinat fotografij s platforme Flickr prepoznali lokacije priljubljenih turističnih znamenitosti in destinacij v Sloveniji ter analizirali vzorce mobilnosti obiskovalcev med njimi. Analizirali smo vzorce 210.643 fotografij, ki jih je zajelo 11.555 različnih uporabnikov platforme Flickr v dvanajstih letih med letoma 2007 in 2018. Rezultati v splošnem pokažejo, da Slovenija ni integrirana turistična destinacija, da je zahodna Slovenija turistično bistveno bolj obiskana od vzhodnega dela države ter da obstajajo posamezni podsistemi destinacij z močnimi središči.

• Title: Identifying visitor mobility patterns in Slovenia using Flickr data

Abstract

Spatial analysis of the geographic positions of photos taken by tourists enables the monitoring, presentation, and planning of tourism activities in regard to location. Most photo-sharing websites offer the possibility of geo-tagging the photos to provide geographical information. In this paper, we use the geo-coordinates of photos from the Flickr platform to identify the locations of popular tourist attractions and destinations in Slovenia and analyse the mobility patterns of visitors between them. We analysed samples of 210,643 photos taken by 11,555 different Flickr users over a twelveyear period between 2007 and 2018. The results generally show that Slovenia is not an integrated and homogeneous tourism destination than the eastern part of Slovenia, and that there are individual subsystems of destinations with strong centers.
