Abstract
Rešitev vidim predvsem v opozarjanju na pomembnost čustvene dimenzije dela, saj ta zahteva specifična znanja in zmožnosti.

Title:Emotional labour of medical staff
Abstract:
Emotions are the foundation of our daily lives as we constantly perceive, manage and analyse our own emotions as well as the emotions and responses of other people around us. Today, emotions are crucial in the functioning of modern Western societies and are of great importance in understanding the functioning of both organizational members and the entire organization. In particular, the expansion of service activities has led to emotions playing an important role, especially in communication in the private as well as in the public spheres. In the public sphere in particular, employees are expected, on the one hand, to exclude unwanted emotions and, on the other hand, to include those that are required of them, in order to perform their professional role more efficiently. This is the so-called emotional work, which is also largely expected from medical staff. Despite the fact that emotions are recognized as public, they are often lost in achieving the goals of the organization. The aim of the master's thesis is to analyse and present the skills necessary for the transformation of primary emotions, and above all to draw attention to the importance of emotions in the public sphere of paid work. In order to perform their professional work successfully and efficiently, the medical staff must manage and control their emotions, while also directing the emotions of the patients. The consequences of emotional work are mainly reflected in the experience of stress and pressure due to overwork in the workplace. I see the solution primarily in pointing out the importance of the emotional dimension of work, as it requires specific knowledge and skills.
