The article presents a comparison between Polish and Slovene media discourse about ecology. It analyses two articles that were published in Polish and Slovene periodicals. The media play an enormous role in modern societies, helping determine the hierarchy, wielding influence over social behaviour, and sometimes even dictating rules according to which society should function. The media also create a picture of the world, so no wonder that they are considered to be the fourth estate. The paper is an attempt to present ways of giving readers of right-wing media knowledge about ecological problems.
