Abstract

Abstract:
In this paper, we describe the results of a qualitative analysis in which we studied the personal experience of different groups of professional participants in a video-interpreting setting. The study conducted by means of a semi-structured interview showed that the stereotypical negative attitude towards video-interpreting is not confirmed through practical experience. What is more, video-interpreting was recognised by the interviewees as having great potential especially at events requiring legal, community or business interpreting.

Keywords:video-interpreting, remote interpreting, video-conference interpreting, video-conference
