The article broadens the concept of phonaesthetics by incorporating an acoustic-phonetic approach. Using three works from the poetry collection Okus po grenkem (A Bitter Taste) by Mila Kačič as examples, selected aspects of the acoustic-phonetic analysis of the poet's own speech interpretation are presented. The speech and articulation rate, basic frequency, register, and intonation are all acoustic elements experimentally estimated and used in the present analysis.
