Zaprte lige in (ne)skladnost z Evropskim športnim modelom ter pravom EU

Magistrsko diplomsko delo obravnava vprašanje skladnosti zaprtih lig z Evropskim športnim modelom in pravom Evropske unije. Magistrska naloga je razdeljena na tri sklope, uvodni del se začne s predstavitvijo temeljev, to je Evropskega in Ameriškega športnega modela. Evropski športni model je predstavljen predvsem skozi oči institucij Evropske unije. Uvodni del se konča s poglavjem o zbliževanju prej omenjenih dveh modelov. Nato sledi pregled ključnih dogodkov v povezavi z zaprtimi ligami v nogometnem svetu, Na koncu sledi najbolj obširen sklop, skladnost ureditve, ki prepoveduje ustanovitev zaprtih lig in skladnost same zaprte lige, konkretneje primera Superlige s konkurenčnim pravom Evropske unije.

• Title: Closed leagues and (non) compliance with the European sports model and EU law

Abstract

The Master's thesis examines the issue of compliance of closed leagues with the European sports model and European Union law. The Master's thesis is divided into three parts, the introductory part begins with a presentation of the foundation, such as European and American sports model. The European sports model is presented mainly through the eyes of the European Union institutions. The introduction ends with a chapter on the convergence of the two sports models. This is followed by an overview of important events related to closed leagues in the football world. Last but not least, the most extensive part goes through the compliance of the regulation prohibiting the establishment of closed leagues and the compliance of the closed league itself, more specifically the case of the Super League in the eyes of the European Union competition law.
