This diploma thesis presents the problem of the electrical machine stator winding insulation aging and their service life, as well as the production of a measuring equipment for testing the accelerated aging of the winding insulation. The first part of the work deals with the accelerated aging of the winding insulation of electrical machines and the procedures for the machine lifetime prediction after the exposure to the standardized stress tests. The most important emphasis is on thermal stress tests, for which the original measuring equipment has been considerably upgraded in order to enable a more user-friendly and safer device. The entire process of designing, construction and upgrade of the new measuring equipment is described in the central part of the thesis. In addition, the drawings of the wiring diagrams of electrical cabinets, the design of the user interface required for the equipment management and the final device assembly are presented in detail. Finally, the measurements of the thermal stress test were performed with the new measurement equipment on the real machine stator insulation windings.
