The aim of the work was the design, construction and manufacture of kitchen furniture in cooperation with the company Alter arhitektura & design, Janja Štibernik s.p.. An overview of different types of kitchens, current trends in kitchen design and important manufacturers was carried out. With the help of computer-aided design, we developed modern kitchen furniture adapted to the appropriate space and customer. We followed the standards and principles of ergonomics and anthropometry. Starting from the architect's conceptual sketches, we created 3D models, which we presented to the client. The furniture is made of MDF panels finished with Fenix laminate, as used for the fronts of the cabinets and drawers, and finished particleboard for the cabinets, drawers and doors of the island. The kitchen counter and part of the kitchen island are clad in engineered stone. The thesis presents the design and preparation of technical documentation using the computer program TopSolid, and the individual steps for the production and assembly of the furniture by the company Glavič – joinery, engineering, services Matej Glavič s.p..
