Abstract

Title:Children with intellectual disabilities in institutional care
Abstract:
Life of young people is defined by many factors, which can have protective influence on their life or can act as risk factors in personality development and life shaping. The transition of socially vulnerable adolescents to adulthood is considered to be difficult and can lead to delinquent forms of behaviour which is shown in a negative reaction of an adolescent that he faces with in his life. There has been an increase of students in the Institute for Education,Work and Care Dobrna, who in addition to their primary mental development disorder need special attention in the field of behaviour and emotions, which presents a great challenge for employees and users.I presented, with the study of the case, a student, who was despite the intense and professional guidance due to his growing and unmanageable problems, on the behalf of the court, transferred to a protected department of a similar institution.
