Motiv družine in problemske tematike v izbranih slikanicah za otroke

Abstract
V diplomskem delu so obravnavani motiv družine in problemske tematike v šestih izbranih slikanicah; treh slikanicah avtorice Babette Cole in treh slikanicah avtorice Patricije Peršolja, pri čemer smo primerjali po eno slikanico avtorice Babette Cole z eno slikanico avtorice Patricije Peršolja. Obravnavane slikanice, ki so delo avtorice Babette Cole, so Prince Cinders (1987), Mummy never told me (2003) in Vsega po dvoje (1998); slikanice avtorice Patricije Peršolja pa Oglas za eno mamo (2009), Tata zmaj (2014) in Samo še pet minut (2021). V teoretičnem delu smo se najprej osredotočili na definicijo slovenske mladinske književnosti, ki jo določa in osmisli avtorica Milena Mileva Blažić, ter na modele realistične proze avtorice Marjane Kobe, ki se pojavljajo v sodobni mladinski književnosti. Zaradi obravnavanja motiva družine, v katero spada tudi otrok, je bilo smiselno predstaviti tudi podobo otroka skozi čas v mladinski književnosti, kar opiše avtorica Milena Mileva Blažić. V teoretičnem delu predstavljamo tudi pomen slikanice za otroka in zahtevnostne stopnje slikanic, kar je povzeto po opisih avtorice Marjane Kobe. Dotaknili smo se opisa sodobne pravljice in modela kratke sodobne pravljice, ki ga je avtorsko nadgradila Svetlana Makarovič ter opisala povezavo med subverzivno mladinsko književnostjo in kratkimi sodobnimi pravljicami. Malo več pozornosti smo namenili sodobni pravljici oziroma kratki sodobni pravljici z otroškim literarnim likom po teoriji Marjane Kobe, po kateri smo analizirali slikanice v empiričnem delu diplomske naloge. Obravnavane slikanice vsebujejo tematike, s katerimi se v življenju srečujejo mladi bralci, zato smo se v teoretičnem delu osredotočili tudi na problemsko tematiko po avtorju Igorju Saksidi, kar smo v empiričnem delu tudi podrobneje analizirali. Na koncu teoretičnega dela smo zaradi obravnavanega motiva družine opisali tudi definicijo družine in tipologijo po teoriji avtorice Tanje Rener (2006) ter označili družinske spremembe. Teoretični del smo zaključili z opisom podobe družine v literarni zgodovini slovenske mladinske književnosti, povzeto po avtorici Mileni Milevi Blažić. V empiričnem delu smo med seboj primerjali po eno delo avtorice Babette Cole z enim delom avtorice Patricije Peršolja: Prince Cinders (1987) Babette Cole in Oglas za eno mamo (2009) Patricije Peršolja; Mummy never told me (2003) Babette Cole in Tata zmaj (2014) Patricije Peršolja ter Vsega po dvoje (1998) Babette Cole in Samo še pet minut (2021) Patricije Peršolja. Na začetku nas je zanimalo, kateri tipi družin se pojavljajo v posamezni slikanici, kar smo raziskovali po teoriji Tanje Rener, ki je raziskovalka na področju sociologije družin in študij za mladino. Ugotavljali smo tudi, ali tip družine vpliva na pojavljanje problemskih situacij v njej in kako (če sploh) vpliva na odnose v družini. Slikanice smo primerjali po nekaterih kategorijah za analizo, izbranih iz Učnega načrta za slovenščino (Poznanovič, 2018), nato pa smo s pomočjo primerjalne preglednice analizirali, katere značilnosti sodobne pravljice po Marjani Kobe (1999) se pojavljajo v posamezni slikanici. Na koncu smo preko teorije Igorja Sakside (2014) ugotavljali, katere značilnosti (če sploh) problemske literature zajema posamezna slikanica. Rezultati analize so pokazali, kako se motiv družine pojavlja v vsaki izbrani slikanici, katere problemske tematike vsebuje posamezna slikanica, katere značilnosti sodobne pravljice so prikazane v posamezni slikanici in katera slikanica je primerna kot izhodišče za pogovor o problemskih temah v vrtcu.

Title:Family motif and problem themes in selected children's picture books
Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with the motif of family and problem-oriented topics in six picture books. Three of them are by Babette Cole and three by Patricija Peršolja, and each book by one author is compared to one by the other author. The books discussed are Prince Cinders (1987), Mummy never told me (2003) and Vsega po dvoje (2003) by Babette Cole and Oglas za eno mamo (2009), Tata zmaj (2014) and Samo še pet minut (2021) by Patricija Peršolja. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the definition of Slovenian youth literature as presented and explained by Milena Mileva Blažić, and on models of realistic prose appearing in contemporary youth literature as described by Marjana Kobe. Because the thesis discusses the motif of families with children, it also presents the image of children in Slovenian literature through time, as described by Milena Mileva Blažić. The theoretical part also presents the importance of picture books for children and the difficulty levels of picture books according to Marjana Kobe. The thesis also touches upon the description of the short contemporary fairy tale and the model of the short contemporary fairy tale, which was developed by Svetlana Makarovič, who also describes the relationship between subversive youth literature and the short contemporary fairy tale. The contemporary fairy tale or the short contemporary fairy tale with a child as the main character was discussed more in depth, as this theory by Marjana Kobe was used to compare the picture books in the empirical part. The chosen picture books feature some themes that young readers are likely to come across in real life, which is why the theoretical part also discusses problem-oriented topics as explained by Igor Saksida. This theory was used for analysis in the empirical part of the thesis. The theoretical part ends with the definition and typology of family as theorised by Tanja Rener (2006), as well as a mention of changes in the family. The final part of the theoretical part deals with the image of family in the literary history of Slovenian youth literature as described by Milena Mileva Blažić. The empirical part of the thesis compares picture books by Babette Cole and Patricija Peršolja: Prince Cinders (1987) by Cole and Oglas za eno mamo (2009) by Peršolja; Mummy never told me (2003) by Cole and Tata zmaj (2014) by Peršolja; and Vsega po dvoje (1998) by Cole and Samo še pet minut (2021) by Peršolja. The first part is mainly interested in the types of families that appear in individual picture books, according to Rener’s theory, and if and how this influences the problem-oriented themes that appear in these picture books. The picture books were compared according to some categories found in Učni načrt za slovenščino (Poznanovič, 2018). A comparative table was used to compare the common features of contemporary fairy tales according to Marjana Kobe (1999). The final part of the empirical part deals with characteristics of problem-oriented literature as defined by Igor Saksida (2014) and how (or whether) they can be found in these picture books. The results of the analysis show how the motif of family appears in each individual picture book, which problem-oriented topics it includes, which characteristics of the contemporary fairy tale it expresses and whether the picture book can serve as a starting point for discussing problem topics in preschools.
