Abstract

Title:
Adaptation of instrument flight for Zlin - 242L and Zlin - 143L aircraft
Abstract:
Due to the growing complexity of modern aircraft, pilots need to use checklists to ensure that all necessary steps to properly configure the aircraft for various procedures or activities have been taken. In normal operations, these procedures include e.g., engine startup, take - off, landing, etc. As with normal procedures, pilots also need checklists for emergency procedures. Due to the nature of emergency procedures, checklists need to be particularly tailored, as every second counts. The thesis presents the process of optimization of two checklists for emergency procedures performed in the case of flying according to the instrument flight rules for single-pilot operations for Zlin - 242L and Zlin - 143L aircraft operated by the Slovenian Air Force Flight School (LETŠ). In addition, the thesis also provides guidelines for other operators to adapt or implement new checklists.
