To be competitive in the market, it is necessary to show a great deal of practical and theoretical knowledge when creating a sheet metal stamping tool. Toolmaking companies are forced to introduce new technologies to achieve as competitive and relatively inexpensive products as possible compared to competing toolmaking companies.
The thesis presents theories for stamping sheet metal, the process of making a tool for stamping sheet metal, and its most important components.
Tool testing and tool repair based on initial samples obtained from the tool manufactured is also presented.
The last part presents and shows the production control on a real case using SPC analysis. This is shown on a series of products that were made with the tool for stamping sheet metal from this diploma.
