Abstract

Title:MODERN MERCHANT NAVY VESSELS MANAGEMENT
Abstract:
The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the management and administration of modern merchant navy vessels and identifies the most important elements required in the process. Legal norms and regulations, crew management, their duties, and responsibilities, as well as work on the ship's bridge, are analyzed. At the same time, the devices that are essential for the safe operation of the vessel on the ship's bridge are presented. Because the development of vessels is increasingly moving in the direction of autonomy and remote control, technology, limitations, dangers, protection, and safety are presented in the thesis. They are considered to play an important role in the realization of these vessels. With regards to the fact that in the future, the vessels will be autonomous and remotely controlled, the question arises as to how the employment of seafarers on the ship's bridge and in the engine room will be in the future. Consequently, this will have a major impact on the economy because of both direct and indirect benefits.
