Abstract
Metode dela: V teoretičnem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo pregleda domače in tuje znanstvene literature, v empiričnem delu pa neeksperimentalno kvantitativno metodo z uporabo validiranega anketnega vprašalnika. Zbrane podatke smo obdelali in analizirali s pomočjo programa SPSS.

Title:Sexual function and disorders in couples include in process of in vitro fertilization : master thesis
Abstract:
Introduction: conception and procreation are often associated with normal sexual function, which is an important part of normal sexual life for most married couples. However, couples with infertility problems and associated treatments, in which the basic task of reproduction has not yet been accomplished, may experience distress that negatively affects sexual performance and leads to a high incidence of sexual dysfunction and sexual dissatisfaction. Aim: The aim of this master's thesis is to investigate the sexuality of individuals who participate in in vitro fertilization procedures as one of the methods of infertility treatment, focusing on sexual dysfunction and sexual satisfaction and associated risk factors. Methods: In the theoretical part, we used the descriptive method of reviewing domestic and foreign scientific literature, and in the empirical part, we used the non-experimental quantitative method using a validated questionnaire. The collected data were processed and analyzed using the SPSS program. The sample consisted of 119 people involved in in vitro fertilization procedures, of which 61 (51,3 %) were women and 58 (48,7 %) were men, with an average age of 35 years. Results: Most of the participants in the survey out of all 119 (100 %) questionnaires surveyed, which represents our realization sample, were in the age group of 31 to 35 years (37 %), married (79,8 %), graduated from high school (51,3 %), Catholic denomination (89,9 %), childless (78,2 %), with a sexual partner in life (51,3 %), and in current sexual intercourse for a period of 7 to 8 years (18,5 %). The survey showed statistically significantly higher satisfaction among male participants, participants in the age group of 26 to 30 years, with a higher level of education, non-religious, without children in marriage, with four sexual partners in life, in current partnered (sexual) relationship for a period of 1 to 2 years, and without a diagnosed sexual disorder. Discussion and Conclusion: There is a sample correlation between infertility, related treatment, and sexuality. Infertility and involvement in treatment procedures increase the risk of sexual dysfunction. The risk factors identified in our study could help facilitate the identification and timely detection and treatment of sexual dysfunction, which would help maintain healthy sexuality in couples involved in in vitro fertilization procedures.
